The Nuremberg Trials were a series of political trials after WWII that were held by the Allies. Their purpose was to hold Nazis accountable for the horrendous things they'd done, and there were 13 trials altogether. The Nazis tried were charged with things like crimes against peace and crimes against humanity. Many Nazis pleaded that they were only following HItler's orders because Hitler was threatening them, but they were still charged.
