Shay's Rebellion (29 ago 1786 ano – 3 jun 1787 ano)

Descrição:

A rebellion that showed the weak points of the articles of confederation. It started when Daniel Shay, a war veteran, was not receiving his pay for participating in the war. Shay's land was almost about to be foreclosed because he wasn't able to pay it off. His plan was to take over a courthouse, which he succeeded in. The Massachusetts government was then unable to mobilize an army to stop Shay. This was one of the leading reasons for the Constitutional convention
