-use of Napalm and Agent orange (defoliants to destroy forest)
-search and destroy operation (helicopters find Viet Cong and bring GIs there)
-China provided 320 000 soldiers for logistic
-1964-1973 -> 1/3 of Americans opposed to Vietnam war
