After Gorbachev's reform, the Supreme Soviet ceased to be the supreme body of the country. Now he was not detected at the elections, but was appointed by the Congress. It existed before the collapse of the Soviet Union. In Russia, this body continued to exist until the Supreme Soviet was dispersed by Yeltsin in October 1993. He was in Moscow at the White House (now the Russian government House).
