The Prague Spring was a period where citizens of Czechoslovakia protested against communism and they strived to regain their rights including the freedom of speech. The Prague Spring affected the Cold War because it was a failed attempt at liberating Czechoslovakia from communism and the Soviet Union ended up taking over Czechoslovakia and re-established the communist government.
