At this point, scientists had all of the information they needed in order to see that Mars held potential for life. After sending their new Mars Rover, cameras showed that there was a water source on the planet and eventually saw that seedlings had the ability to grow in the planet's climate! This time period was all about answering the question about life on Mars and dealt with sending humans up into space to do more hands-on research. Eventually towards the end of this, they were able to send regular humans on rockets commercially, almost as though they were taking a plane to Florida!
