Greek Dark Age (1 jan 1100 ano antes da era comum – 1 jan 800 ano antes da era comum)
Descrição:
"a period of poverty and disruption that historians of Greece have traditionally called the Dark Age (ca. 1100–800 B.C.E.). Cities were destroyed, population declined, villages were abandoned, and trade decreased. Pottery became simpler, and jewelry and other grave goods became less ornate. Even writing, which had not been widespread previously, was a casualty of the chaos, and Linear A and B inscriptions were no longer produced."
"By the conclusion of the Dark Age, the Greeks had spread their culture throughout the Aegean basin and, like many other cultures around the Mediterranean and the Near East, they had adopted iron."
