Ten Tragic Days (9 fev 1913 ano – 19 fev 1913 ano)

Descrição:

The Ten Tragic Days (Spanish: La Decena Trágica) was a series of events that took place in Mexico City between 9 and 19 February 1913, during the Mexican Revolution. Armed conflict broke out in the capital, with rebels led by General Félix Díaz, nephew of the former president, and General Bernardo Reyes, seeking to overthrow democratically elected president Francisco I. Madero, with the support of the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, Henry Lane Wilson. Madero's key general Victoriano Huerta defected to the rebels. The coup d'état resulted in the arrest of Madero and his vice president, José María Pino Suárez, who then resigned.
