Descrição:

Cause: whiskey tax imposed by congress given by Alexander Hamilton who proposed that government assume responsibility debts and pay them off with taxes

Effect: new national government had the will and ability to suppress violent resistance to laws. Contributed to formation of political parties in U.S.
