Revival of the Ku Klux Klan (1 jan 1915 ano – 1 jan 1930 ano)
Descrição:
The KKK was revived by white Protestant nativists. This second generation of the KKK was not only anti-black, but also took as stand against Roman Catholics, Jews, and immigrants. It was fueled by the flow of immigration from Europe along with the Great Migration of African Americans to the north, creating a cultural identity for themselves. The organization took the burning of a cross as their symbol, held rallies, parades, marches and practiced many “lynchings” upon African Americans.
