This was a painful war for Russia. She suffered because she lost 6,750,000 soldiers. That was about 10% of there population. There were 4,950,000 people wounded added on to the people who died. They are paranoid because they have lost the most in World War ll. (13 million army and civilians)

This is why they are PARANOID about being attacked.
