West 200 Acres- Mckee Brothers (2 jan 1890 ano – 1 jan 1900 ano)
Descrição:
During the 1890’s most of the West 200 acres was owned by two brothers named Wm. and S.S. Mckee. They did not come from a family of farmers. Their father was a shoemaker who had come to the United States from Ireland in 1840, and moved to Washington County in 1846. Wm. and S.S. Mckee were the only siblings not to leave this area; their sister got married and moved to Kansas, and their older brother went off to fight in the Civil War.
John Graham and his family still owned some of the land on the West 200 acres until part way into the 1890’s.
