430 YEAR SOJOURNING OF ISRAEL IN EGYPT AND CANAAN (15 jun 1921 ano antes da era comum – 9 abr 1491 ano antes da era comum)

Calculations submitted by John Rowe:
*Gal 3/17 Covenant (which was confirmed) the law given 430 years after
*Gen 12/4 Abram aged 75 years when given the promises
*Gen 21/5 Abraham aged 100 when he begat Isaac

So Abram begat Isaac 25 years after receiving the promise

* Gen 25/26 Isaac aged 60 when he begat Jacob (and Esau)
* Gen 47/9 Jacob 130 when going before Pharoah in Egypt

So period from the promise given to Abram thru to Jacob (Israel) going down to Egypt was :
25 + 60 + 130 = 215 yrs

*Ex 12/40 The sojourning of the "children of Israel", who dwelt in Egypt, was 430 yrs. The LXX adds: "and the land of Canaan"

The sojourning starts with the sojourning of Abraham in Canaan when he was 75 yrs and received the promises in Gen 12.

The first 215 years of Israels sojourning was therefore in Canaan and the next 215 years in Egypt - which agrees with the 4 Generations in Gen 15/16
