Period of the Judges (21 fev 1491 ano antes da era comum – 30 jun 1060 ano antes da era comum)

Moses became the first 'judge' over Israel (Ex 18/3) and Samuel the last (1 Sam 7/6) giving us a total 'period of the Judges' of approx 434 yrs.

1 Kings 6/1 states that there was a period from the Exodus to the 4th year of Solomon when the temple was commenced of 480 years, i.e.1491 BC to 1012 BC.

This 480 yrs however, is not the total period of the judges because Solomon was a King and the people of Israel had wanted a King to make them like the nations round about (1 Sam 8/5).

They had rejected the Judges of whom Samuel was then the last and he lived sufficiently long enough to see him late into the reign of Saul. (1 Sam 25; 28/3)
On his death ended the 'period of the Judges' indicated to be 'about 450 years' in Acts 13/20 by Paul. I believe this 'about 450 years' is exactly that, an 'about' or 'rounding' for the purposes of Pauls preaching.

The death of Samuel was approx 1060 BC, being approx 4 years prior to the death of Saul. (1Sam 25-28).
