Descrição:

-A series of meetings in Hartford CT
- New England federalists Opposed war of 1812
- Discussed and sought redress for complaints and wrongs they felt had been done

- tried to change the constitution in 1815 --> eliminate 3/5 clause and require 2/3 congressional majority to declare war

SIGNIFICANCE/CONSEQUENCES:
- led to the end of the federalist party --> convention was right before Jacksons victory in New Orleans --> looked unpatriotic and out of touch
