Andrew Jackson was the seventh President of the United States. Jackson was in favor of slavery's extension and states' rights. He was against Congress and the Whig Party on issues like the Bank of the United States. Many remember his role in the relocation of Native American tribes that were living east of the Mississippi with the Indian Removal Act. Jackson was re-elected in 1832 for a second term.
