The Renaissance started in Italy. It was the changing of Society to be more centered in art, architecture, mathematics and science. Many geniuses grew up and made there mark in history during this time. These include: Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519), Desiderius Erasmus (1466–1536), Rene Descartes (1596–1650), Galileo (1564-1642), Nicolaus Copernicus (1473–1543), Thomas Hobbes (1588–1679), Geoffrey Chaucer (1343–1400), Giotto (1266-1337), Dante (1265–1321), Niccolo Machiavelli (1469–1527), Titian (1488–1576), William Tyndale (1494–1536), William Byrd (1539/40–1623), John Milton (1608–1674), William Shakespeare (1564–1616), Donatello (1386–1466), Sandro Botticelli (1445–1510), Raphael (1483–1520), and Michelangelo (1475–1564). The printer was also created during this time which led to the education of the mass population and also a change in religion and the start of decline in power it held. The renaissance end was mostly do to the catholic church because of the punishments it gave to those who were too creative or wanted to deviat from the catholic church.
