Descrição:

Napoleon wanted to make sure no European state is going to trade with the UK.

Events:
- Napoleon subjugates Portugal with the help of Spain
- Napoleon decides to attack Spain. Although the monarchs were ousted, the conservative Spanish society was displeased with the reforms introduced by Bonaparte (abolition of feudalism, tortures, Spanish Inquisition) and organised a rebellion. The Portuguese followed. Since Guerilla tactics they employed were difficult for Napoleon to handle, the French army got caught up in the war until 1814.

Both sides were fighting with utmost cruelty, as depicted by Goya.
