Green Sahara (1 jan 12000 ano antes da era comum – 1 jan 4000 ano antes da era comum)
Descrição:
Human activity in the Sahara is evidenced by cave paintings, known to date from 8,000BC - 4,000BC, evidence for cereal cultivation has been dated to approximately 6,000BC but Human activity is thought to even pre-date 12,000BC.
With the Sahara becoming more arid and less able to sustain large populations an exodus to the North, South and East took place. The traditional date for the unification of Egypt is 3100BC although the "Pyramid Age" is said to begin in 2686BC. Evidence suggests that Pyramids in the Sudan pre-date this period. Recently it has been claimed that lines of Pyramids [and even a Sphinx] have been discovered near Zinder in Niger and it's discoverer even claims that the Hieroglyphics found, and those in Egypt, are a form of the Hausa language.
