Marco Polo's Tales of China (1 jan 1295 ano – 1 jan 1295 ano)

Descrição:

Marco Polo was taken into Kublai Khan's court, possibly as a tax collector. At some point in time he was sent on official business to Hangzou and across inland China. After several years seeking freedom from service they were sent on a mission to escort a young princess to her intended husband, a Mongolian ruler of Persia. They all sent out on a flotilla towards Persia and arrived a year and half later, only to find out he was dead. So instead it was decided that she would marry his son. The Polos stayed with Arghun's brother for nine months before setting out towards Venice via Trebizond, Constantinople and Negrepont before arriving home in 1295, the year after Kublai's death which sent the Mongolian empire into an irrevocable decline.
