Industrial Revolution in Britain (c. 1710 - c.1850) (1 jan 1710 ano – 1 jan 1850 ano)
Descrição:
The industrial revolution was an age of rapid advancements around the world. However, it is most associated with the United Kingdom, who had the most advancements all at once. The earliest parts of the industrial revolution in Britain were agricultural. While the steam engine was invented in 1712, it wasn't used for any revolutionary advances until the 1760s when James Watt made significant improvements on it. In the meantime, many agricultural inventions made farming easier, and as less and less people were needed to farm, bigger farms just bought the smaller farms in what is now called the enclosure movement. After that, it was just innovation after innovation, the first train, factories springing up all over the place and much more. The British would need to fuel all this, and their colonies just so happened to be able to do just that. Natural resources would come from the colonies, the UK would process the resources, and then sell the processed goods to the colonies.
