Descrição:

On 5 August on the Plain of Malazgirt, Yudenich's forces fell on the extended Turkish forces and defeated them. Yudenich followed up this victory with attacks all along the line, forcing the Turks into a general and costly retreat. By August the front had been stablized on a line east of Rize on the Black Sea, Erzurum, and Bitlis.
