The Enron Scandal that involved Enron and Arthur Andersen LLP, was a case that involved improper accounting and obstruction of justice through the destroying of evidence. This case occurred in America from about 2000 through 2000, but the lawsuits continued on for a long time after. This case brought up many ethical dilemmas for accountants, listen to their boss or do what is right, but if accountants had chosen to act responsibly this all could have been avoided. Due to the large sums of money being falsified, the FBI got involved and ultimately Arthur Andersen LLP ended up shutting down, but is currently trying to reboot it's public image.
