Through the period 2001-2006 Kansas City Kansas Community College led a collaboration consisting of the college represented by Dr. Steve Collins, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City Kansas represented by Mr. LaVert Murray, and the African Methodist Church represented by Resident Agent Mrs. Doris Bailey, accomplished the first stabilization of the ruins of the 1857 Territorial Kansas town of Quindaro. Unification of ethnic groups was the foundation for Quindaro's birth and was continued by the tri-party coalition of City, Church, and College.
