Mechanical Calculators and Punch Card Tech (1 jan 1500 ano – 1 jan 1800 ano)
Descrição:
The mechanical calculator and punch card were examples of early computational devices at work. They started being developed in 1500 and by the 1800s were being used to make tasks including finance, accounting, and mathematics easier.
1. Gave humans the ability to give early computers basic programming and instructions using binary code.
2. This leap in being able to give a machine instructions rather than the machine always following a designated task allowed for more creativity and ingenuity in multi-role computers.
3. Devices could now act based off of instructions, rather than by design, meaning productivity and variety of tasks that these machines could take on increased.
