Layla married her wife Khadijah and succeeded her parents. She gave birth to one child, Benali, around 24 years into their reign. Tensions between the two houses were at a fever pitch, and when one of the Guiseppecci Crowns, Mia-Maria, was assassinated, the situation almost collapsed into full out war between the houses. There were riots and horrible bouts of bloodshed. Layla and Khadijah were getting old and nothing they tried seemed to be able to quell the conflict, and the angry, grief-stricken House Guiseppecci was convinced House Boukhalfa was behind Mia-Maria's killing.
However, their son Benali had fallen in love with Venetia-Valleria Guiseppecci, Mia-Maria's niece. Benali and Venetia-Valleria fought to reunite the warring Houses and eventually succeeded Layla and Khadijah.
