1836. Probably the most well-known battle in texas history. In the battle of the Alamo, the Texans were greatly outnumbered by the Mexicans that had been laying siege upon the, for 13 days. Attacked on the morning of March 6 lasted 30 min the Mexicans killing all including commanders Willam Travis and James bowie who had been sick the whole time. Also killed was Davy Crockett.
