Beowulf is the oldest epic poem in Old English and one of the most important works of Old English literature. Beowulf was written in England but it is about a hero in Scandinavia. The poem consists of over 3000 lines, it tells the story about this hero from southern Sweden who fought against monsters and dragons to keep him and other people safe.
