Old Education 508BCE Old Education, consisted of physical and mental components. Physical education began after elementary school, starting with private teachers, and then boys would start training at the gym. Mental education included music, dance, lyrics and poetry. Students wrote on wax tablets, and when they could read full books, they were given poetry to remember and recite, with myths often included in lessons. Old education stopped at elementary, so most of the education was informal.
