Early rapping or MC'ing was not a music form but a way to work/entertain the crowd in a party. Korea's first contact with Hip-Hop likely came from interacting with American soldiers stationed in Korea. Hip-hop music inspired Korean dancers with the break sections and became a popular danceform and performance within many night clubs. UK Hip Hop still derives from American Hip Hop being imported but the UK had large Jamaican influences still prevalent within the teenage population. This caused the Hip Hop development to differ slightly and have a British/Jamaican twist.
British Hip Hop and Rap culture continued growing underground but also started to rise up in mainstream media. Although it had started off literally underground or hidden in the grafitti of train stations and breakdancing parties of garages, this popularity blew up and became more relevant. British artists started to attempt branching out past imitation and developing British specific music.
British Hip Hop and Rap began diversifying outside of garage and party music. With the internet and media sharing platform services becoming more popular, it was easier to share and listen to new artists. As a result, British Hip Hop artists started adding more musical elements from trap, garage music, trill, and electronic music.
