Tenterfield Oration 24 October 1898 Backstory: On the 24 October 1889 Sir Henry Parks presents a speech at Tenterfield to propose the idea of Australia finally becoming a united nation. This had a huge impact for Australia we know it today because through this speech it influenced many others so when the referendums came around many voted yes. This influenced Australia to become a united nation Value:

This was a big day because in 1967 people voted to change the constitution for Aboriginals to be counted as people.
