On this day, John Gacy was born.
On December 3, 1968, Gacy gets sent to prison for the first time for committing sodomy to a teenage boy; he gets sent for 10 years.
Gacy gets out of prison after getting sent for ten years; he gets out after only eighteen months for good behavior and because the victim did not show up for court.
During this time, Gacy Moves to 8213 West Summerdale Avenue in Norwood Park Township, because he needed a larger space to operate his new construction business, PDM Inc.
On January 3, 1972, he kills his first victim identified as Timothy McCoy.
Gacy marries his first wife, Marlynn Myers, on September 4, 1964
Not knowing the month or day, Marlynn did divorce John in 1969 after figuring out what he did.
John Gacy Marries his second wife, Caroline Hoff, during July of 1972.
Around this time, carole had noticed a strange smell coming from the crawlspace but Gacy blames it on the runoff from the sewer pipe, he almost gets caught.
After a heated conversation with Gacy and his associate John Butkivich, Butkivich goes missing after that, but Gacy does not get suspected.
After already living alone, his second wife, Caroline Hoff, finally divorces him, after a heated argument that she failed to balance a checkbook right.
Gacy attacks a man in his car then assaults him at the victim's own house, years after that the Victim, Jeff Rignall, went on to write a book about the incident.
Robert Piest, a 15-year old boy, goes missing and the police suspect Gacy because he had sodomy on his record, so this puts police on Gacy's trail.
After getting suspected the police finally got a search warrant. They find some disturbing stuff but nothing to prove he did anything.
While drunk he revealed what he did to 33 young men his lawyer was horrified and told police to not let him leave.
FInally, on December 21, 1978, Gacy gets arrested due to his confession.
On February 6, 1980, Gacy's trial starts.
On December 17, 1993, an execution date was set for Gacy.
Lastly, Gacy was executed by lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Center.
The unidentified victims are unburied, through searching the bodies they found his first victim: Timothy McCoy.
Michael Gacy was John's first child born in March of 1967.
Christine Gacy was John's second child, born in October of 1968.
Gacy tries to say that his death sentence is cruel and unusual, but the U.S Supreme Court denies what he says and he gets the death sentence set.
On December 25th, 1969, Gacy's father dies, when he hears his dad had perished, he learned a while later after the funeral. He wasn't really the same after that.
On this day, Gacy's mom dies just due to old age.
