Hans and Zacharias Janssen invented the first optical telescope and credited with inventing the first compound microscope.Robert Hooke published Micrographia, a book of observations made with a microscope or telescope, and coined the term Cell, as plant cells reminded him of honeycomb cells.Anton van Leeuwenhoek discovered Bacteria and other protozoans.Matthias Schleiden was a co-founder of Cell Theory and discovered that all plants are made of cells.Theodor Schwann was a co-founder of Cell Theory and published the theory in a book.Rudolph Virchow stole the theory of Cell Division from Robert Remak, and published it as his own.
