1054 Schism in the Christian Church This was the separation of the eastern christian church and the western church. The excommunications where not lifted until 1965. Western theology was mainly based off of Roman law while the eastern was based off of Greek theology.

1096 First Crusade This was a fight to help the Byzantines and to free the city of Jerusalem. They wanted to recapture the holy land from Muslim control. They had over 60,000 soldiers to try to defeat the Muslims.

1231 Inquisition formed Was meant to punish Hersey. Over the span of 200 years they killed 32,000 people. They would come to town and give the people a chance to admit their Hersey, those who where accused had to testify and if they where found guilty they would have terrible punishments.

1337 Hundred Years's War Begins Was a war between France and and England, it lasted 116 years. France had the advantage over England, But England had the more discipline military. It was a fight for the succession of the french crown.
1347 Black Death Arrives in Europe The black death started from fleas on rats. It spread from central Asia to Europe and it killed 1/3 of Europe and china's population. It started spreading near people who lived near the black sea and moved west outwards to the rest of Europe.
-1453 Ottomans Conquer Byzantine Empire Sultan Mehnmed Was the leader at the time that helped the Byzantine empire conquer the Byzantine, He had the nickname the conquer afterwards.They had walls but they removoed them and that aided them to take over. The decrease of population was a big reason for the removal of the walls.
