Leading up to the American Revolution, the French and Indian Was about the British taking land in North America. the French were wanting to claim land. Well that led to French fight with the British and British won, claiming more land. This caused Britain to pay the taxes.
Sugar and Molasses were then taxed on and supposed to be paid more than usual. This upset the colonist, and some bought tea with no sugar.
Britain put taxes on newspaper, legal documents etc. The colonist were angry and did not like this.
British taxed British goods sent to the American colonies. The colonists were furious and this lead to " no taxation without representation" American colonist thought this was not right.
Colonist and soldiers had a fight and a soldier had thought the leader said fire. It then became an awful event. Five colonists had died in the event.
Boston Colonist was angry at the tea act, so they dumped crates of tea off the ships and into the Boston harbor.
The 12 of the 13 colonies gathered up together to oppose the British Taxes. Now all was kinda fair and there were as no more unfair taxes from the British.
