Imperial Noble Consort Shushen, born in 1859, was the daughter of a fifth-rank official and rose to prominence during the Tongzhi era, where she became favored by Empress Dowager Cixi despite initially being chosen as Consort Hui. She was later elevated to Imperial Noble Consort in 1874 and continued to hold a prominent position through the Guangxu era, receiving the unique four-character title "Imperial Noble Consort Dunyi Rongqing" in 1894, before passing away in 1904 and being interred in the Hui Mausoleum.
