The marriage of the Xuantong Emperor (Puyi) and Noble Lady Fu (Li Yuqin) took place in 1943 during his reign as the puppet emperor of Manchukuo, but it was largely driven by political circumstances rather than affection. Their relationship was distant, and following the collapse of Manchukuo, Li Yuqin eventually divorced Puyi in 1957, leading separate lives afterward.
