Arnold was first served for the American Revolutionary. In 1779 he began to collude with the British. His decision was to betray the continental army, influence with many factors like his honor and financial difficulties. 1780 he surrendered the Fort at West Point to the British for 20,000 in Euros, he was very desperate for money. While John Andre was captured, Arnold decided to escape to the British line. After switching sides, he led British forces into raids against American targets.
