Congress of Slavs (Poles, Ruthenians, Czechs, Slovaks, Croats, Slovenes, and Serbs) summoned by the Czechs that met in Prague; it called for national equality of the Slavs within the Hapsburg Empire; issued a call for the re-organization of the Habsburg Empire (Austrian) along ethnic lines, such that the empire would become a "union of equal nations"
