6 mar 1857 ano - Dred Scott Decision 1857
Descrição:
The Dred Scott Decision stated that Congress had no right to prohibit slavery in the entire country, decided that enslaved people were not citizens of the U.S and therefore could not sue in court, and would not have protection from the Federal government. This heavily angered abolitionists who were appalled by this decision. This anger added more fuel to the Civil War fire.
