Max Eisenhardt reveals to Xavier that Lorna Dane has been imprisoned on Genosha, a country with extremely racist treatment of mutants. Asking for their help in releasing her, Xavier refuses, saying they should attempt a diplomatic solution. Max refuses, arguing that there was no diplomatic solution to Hitler. He leaves, heading for Genosha. Some X-Men go with him. They are immediately imprisoned in mutant work camps upon arrival.
