Phase I: Anglo-French air forces would gain air supremacy over Egypt.
Phase II: A 10-day "aero-psychological" campaign aimed at destroying the Egyptian economy.
Phase III: Air- and sea-borne landings to capture the canal zone.
On September 8, 1956, the plan was approved by the British and French cabinets.

Strategic Considerations
General Charles Keightley and General André Beaufre opposed Operation Revise due to its lack of clear objectives beyond capturing the canal zone. However, Prime Minister Anthony Eden and French Premier Guy Mollet supported it for its political flexibility and potential to minimize Egyptian civilian casualties.
