To expose Jake for war crimes (and to get a huge political win), Jar Seller takes him to court.
Jar sued Jake for Destruction of Public/Private Property, Reckless Endangerment, Numerous Murders of the 1st Degree, Ignoring the Governmental Responsibility to protect your civilians’ rights to Life/Liberty/Property, Violating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Attempted Crimes Against Humanity.

The judge concluded that Jake was guilty (only of Crimes Against Humanity, Violating Human Rights, & 3 counts of 1st Degree Murder).
For some reason, Jake wasn't sent to prison. But the 2nd Republic of Jakestown was forced to give up the land of Connorsville, which was now newly rebuilt. This meant that the Steel Serpents officially had their own state.
