Descrição:
The Clayton Antitrust Act was passed by the U.S. Congress in 1914, strengthening provisions of the Sherman Antitrust Act by specifying illegal practices that harmed competition or consumers, such as price discrimination, exclusive sales contracts, and mergers that significantly lessened competition. Importantly, the Act also exempted labor unions from being construed as illegal combinations in restraint of trade, providing crucial legal protection for organized labor to collectively bargain and strike.
