4 jun 1662 ano - Halfway Covenant
Descrição:
The halfway covenant was a form of partial church membership created within the Puritan church of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Established in response to declining church attendance and waning religious fervor among second and third generation settlers, it allowed the children of baptized, but not fully covenanted, church members to be baptized, thereby addressing the colony's religious and societal challenges while also creating internal religious conflict.
