The Battle of Cowpens was a fight near the town of Chesnee, South Carolina. This battle was a critical American victory in the Revolutionary War. It showed that the Americans really did have what it takes to win this war. The Americans also introduced a new method of fighting. Instead of standing out in the open waiting to get shot at, they used guerilla tactics. They would hide behind trees and big rocks, take a shot at the enemy, and then run off.
