Force of Will is a Japanese fantasy series with a physical trading card game included. Each set of cards also included "chapters" of the overall story series.

In August of 2016, FoW combined IndieSquare’s Counterparty API services with EverdreamSoft’s dashboard for game management and asset registration. FoW utilized blockchain game items and planted the seed for a generation of games and applications with interoperable assets and items.

Eiji Shishido, CEO of Force of Will, explained the decision to use Counterparty protocol stating, 'The borderless nature of blockchain technology inspired us. FoW is not an online game currently but we wanted to bring in a new value to the game industry. We wanted to offer FoW players a whole new experience and the new value proposition based on the cutting edge technology.'

Force of Will released their cards as tokenized assets along with a currency ‘WILLCOIN’ on bitcoin via Counterparty.

It had been intended that a game would be launched in which the assets could be used, however the game never eventuated.
