Sorcerer-Queen Pulena Slain is killed in her sleep by moles in her rank loyal to the efforts of the Sacred Flame. The moles are said to be her bedchamber servants.

The killers are burned at the stake after a year of torture. their names are unknown (histories intentionally erased by Ulban VI), but the Church has since sanctified them as St. Wanda and St. Allison.
