In response to Skinner's publication on Behaviorism. Many theorists wanted to dig deeper into the study because in behaviorism it only covered the observvable behaviors of a learner rather than the internal behaviors that can occur within a learner. This was a very moment in instructional material development because it gave educators another view of how a learner learns and retains information.
