Dennis Tito bought a ticket to space for $20 million. He has been a space enthusiast since he was a teenager and said, "My dream was to fly in space before I die". In early 2000, he began to save up for his dream because he was turning 60 later on in the year and thought, "It's now or never". Although the Russian's excepted the money, their other station partners suggested otherwise and they listened, trying to convince Tito to not go. Tito did not give up and eventually he made it to orbit and and spent about 6 days aboard the spacecraft until he landed on 6 May, 2001.
